SJR has fully trained staff that can do all the packing for you or if you wish to pack yourself we offer moving materials on our website. It is important to use the correct moving boxes as poor quality boxes and the like can make loading and unloading take extra time and ultimately cost more money.
Different items are packed in different ways depending on the destination and type of transport that is being used. Our team of moving professionals are experts at identifying your needs and packing your items properly, using materials specifically designed to protect your valuable assets.
There are specific boxes and materials that are designed to protect your items in transit, they are made from special protective materials intended to withstand any forces that may be endured in transit.
Because we are aiming to be as sustainable as possible we often reuse certain materials to reduce our footprint, this will not impact on the durability of the materials in any way.
If your items are going into storage for an extended period of time we also offer plastics and wraps for items such as mattresses, lounges, chairs etc. This will protect them from environmental elements. For all interstate and international moves it is highly recommended that you use our packing services. With distance and time comes the increased risk of damage to your items. SJR will need to do a comprehensive wrap and pack which can take longer than normal, please make sure you allow sufficient time to allow the team to complete the pack correctly.
If you are packing yourself we offer a drop off and pick up service for materials. Once you order materials from our website we will drop them off on your selected date and pick them up at an arranged time. In most cases this will mean you receive a refund for any deposit paid (less hire fee).
The most common room/items to pack professionally are the kitchen, artworks and display items such as vases, crystal, trinkets etc. As most items need to be individually wrapped it can be both time consuming and stressful. If you are on a limited budget or have other restraints we recommend at a minimum having the above professionally managed.
